devs.tips is my personal developer notebook.

I’ve been building things for the web for more than 20 years, which means I’ve accumulated a fairly ridiculous collection of fixes, scripts, experiments, debugging notes and solutions to problems I hope never to encounter twice.

This site exists mainly so those things don’t end up scattered across text files, old project folders and browser bookmarks.

Most of what you’ll find here comes from real work with Joomla, WordPress, PHP, Linux and web development in general. Some articles are quick fixes. Others dig into problems I’ve encountered while building websites, applications, extensions and plugins.

My commercial development work happens through WEBLAB, the web development studio I run.

I also build Joomla extensions and WordPress plugins at NexusPlugins. From time to time I’ll write about those here too, particularly when there’s an interesting technical problem, implementation detail or lesson behind them.

If something here saves you the couple of hours it once cost me to figure out, then devs.tips has done its job.
